Person Centered Thinking Training (PCT)
Person Centered Thinking Training (PCT) is the foundational training offered and enables participants to gain the knowledge and skills needed to empower people they support.
This course is ideal for social workers, service coordinators, nurses and nurse case managers, direct support professionals, behavioral health workers, and family members.
This course is 2 full days of training and fulfills HHSC Requirements for Person Centered Thinking Training.
Person Centered Thinking One Day Refresher Course
This course reviews core concepts and some skills from Person Centered Thinking Training as well as engages participants in exploring The Why of utilizing PCT. Participants will explore barriers to implementing PCT, practice some PCT Skills using various scenarios, engage in a World Cafe Roundtable discussion around PCT and leave renewed, motivated, and prepared to implement more skills into their daily work. This training is ideal for social workers, service coordinators, nurses and nurse case managers, direct support professionals, behavioral health workers, and family members who have completed the Person Centered Thinking 2 Day Training. *PCT Training 2 Day Course is a pre-requisite for this training.
Person Centered Thinking Management Overview
This course is designed to give managers, key leaders, supervisors, department heads, and other decision making personnel an overview of what Person Centered Thinking Training is, the core tenets of the training, basic knowledge of some PCT skills that help in planning with persons who receive support. This course is 3 hours long and can empower leaders to be more knowledgeable, understanding and supportive of those working directly to implement PCT and plan with persons who receive support.
Person Centered Thinking Overview
